Description
Community Memory was the first public computerized bulletin board system, launched in 1973 in Berkeley, California. It allowed users to share information and communicate on a wide range of topics through a terminal connected to a mainframe computer. This early form of digital community facilitated social interaction and information exchange, setting a precedent for later online social networks.
